this is a bad bad movie. it’s boring, it’s unsexy, and it doesn’t have anything interesting to say about D/s dynamics. sure leather and motorcycles and wrestling with boners can be fun, but so much of what makes these kind of relationships interesting is the deep care and safety they engender, the ways they help us process and understand our pasts and identities, and the psychological narratives they let us explore from the inside. the central relationship in this movie lacks that curiosity.

i hate bad "dominants". i hate stories about bad dominants. and i hate what i assume any normie will take away from this movie—that D/s should look this way, that submissives should be treated this way, and that kink is more like an addiction than a beautiful choice to live a more embodied life.
